Scorpions are pictured which are predatory arthropod animals of the order Scorpiones within the class Arachnida. There are about 2,000 species of scorpions. Scorpions have two eyes on the top of the head, and usually two to five pairs of eyes along the front corners of the head. The position of the eyes on the head depends in part on the hardness or softness of the soil upon which they spend their lives.

The range of the scorpion is the Sonoran Desert, though less toxic relatives of the scorpion are located throughout the Southern US. Bees pictured here, are known for their role in pollination and for producing honey and beeswax.
